Overview
During the summer of 2008, NEXT was awarded a retrofit project for Conoco Phillips Canada on a unit located in Berland River, Alberta. The project consisted of removing an existing Ariel JGK/4 compressor frame and cylinders and replacing them with a larger Ariel JGD/4 frame and cylinders, within the existing building. In addition to the overall scope described, this included new pulsation bottles, new process piping, new drive coupling, new pedestals for frame and inboard cylinder supports, and new full depth scrubber supports.
Using NEXT’s OptiFit® technology, a firm proposal price was provided in lieu of the typical cost-plus arrangement that occurs with retrofits of this size and nature. This included all necessary materials, labor, project management, travel, subsistence, and support required to complete the project within the proposed timeline.
The full OptiFit® was successfully completed over a 10 day period during the winter of 2008, meeting the original scope of supply and project timeline.
