Overview
As part of QGC’s coal seam gas infrastructure development program for both domestic and international markets (via LNG), NEXT – then operating under the legacy title, SAGE Energy – was retained as part of an initial trial program to engineer and fabricate an infield wellhead booster compressor concept to set the standard for full scale deployment of individual wellhead booster packages across the Surat Basin. The project called for the supply of two identical units.

Final Product
NEXT fabricated the structural steel skids to the exact dimensions of an ISO sea container. The design allowed the unit itself to be registered, and treated as a sea can for international shipment, reducing shipping cost and associated damage risk. In addition to this innovative design, we fit an incredibly high spec job inside these limited dimensions. This is one of our most unique jobs to date, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
