Waukesha 9394GSI site rated for 2500 BHP @ 1200 rpm
GE W66, six throw, four stage configuration
Unique Challenges
Low suction, high discharge
High ambient temperature
Overseas shipment
Overview
As part of WestSide’s brownfield coal seam gas (CSG) infrastructure expansion to increase sales production of their central processing plant, NEXT – then operating under the legacy title, SAGE Energy – was retained to design an engine driven four stage, six throw reciprocating compressor package to achieve their flow production targets.
Design Considerations
4 psig suction, 2,290 psig discharge
113 F (45 C) ambient temperature
Designed for economical overseas shipment
Final Product
NEXT employed a modularized, monolithic block style skid for this application. The “Genesis” style skid uses a low profile design, integrated waste tanks, and a main skid with wings. This approach allowed us to engineer a unit that can be taken apart for convenient overseas shipment, and results in a sleek, low-vibration unit.
