Fort St John / Stettler Combined Service Solution
Canadian Natural had experienced multiple failures of a rotary screw compressor located at 9-34.
Frustrated with this ongoing trend and no apparent answers on why it was happening, CNRL worked together with our Fort St John Service Center and Remanufacturing Group in Stettler. Together they were able to determine that contamination of the oil was the culprit behind the repetitive failures.
A combination of cleaning out the process equipment, increasing the operating temperature of the oil and implementing a complete package service program every 1,000 hours including monthly oil sampling has solved the problem.
