At NEXT, we believe that underutilized compression equipment and assets represent wasted investments. There are far too many examples of new equipment being installed alongside existing units which are being utilized to less than 50% of their potential.
This happens in large part due to the negative experiences customers have with retrofits, specifically related to large cost and schedule overruns. When we talked to the industry, we encountered a strong belief among end-users that the providers of retrofit services focus more on getting the job than fulfilling the promise. It is too widely accepted within the industry that these projects are risky, the estimates are falsely optimistic, and large negative variances in both budget and schedule should be expected. Many of the users we talked to believe that a new installation is more economical than optimization of an existing unit. We found this unacceptable, so we set out to solve the trend of retrofit overruns on budget and timeline.
The OptiFit Process was our solution. OptiFit was built over a trying 4 year period to address both of these unacceptable industry norms, and has had immense success. Dig deeper by clicking on the button below to learn more.
